Senior Quality Solutions Program / Project Manager

The Challenge

The Senior Program/Project Manager will work cross-functionally across Commercial, Digital Technology & Distribution to design and improve Reverse Logistics processes. This includes implementing creative solutions to reduce incoming returns as well as optimizing & improving overall flow utilizing Lean & Six Sigma methodologies. In addition, they will partner with key manufacturing sites to improve Cost of Quality metrics, with special focus on Scrap & As Is Margin Loss.

What you will Do

Essential results-based duties

  • Identify & create relationships with key process stakeholders to solve problems
  • Establish KPI’s to measure & improve processes
  • Use Lean & Six Sigma tools as needed to drive process improvements
  • Attend Cost of Quality meetings as the Quality Solutions representative on assigned sites, reporting on site status, projects & actions to improve Quality.

Position Requirements:

  • Change Manager; process-driven with demonstrated success implementing sustainable processes and gaining buy-in from upper management, peers, and team
  • Successful record of leading and influencing cross functional teams; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Self-driven, energized by empowerment and accountability
  • Prior experience implementing process improvements and projects that reduce cost or improve quality.
  • Experience working Cross Functionally with Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Fulfillment or Sourcing
  • Excellent communicator & storyteller – in written, oral & visual formats.
  • Understands the big picture and aligns priorities with broader goals, measures and outcomes.
  • Demonstrates initiative and takes action proactively.  Self-starter who consistently meets or exceeds deadlines.
  • Goal-oriented and proactive in problem solving, coupled with creativity and a high energy level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% domestically; willingness to travel by car or airplane

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 + years of work experience in distribution, supply chain, transportation management, logistics, sourcing, fulfillment
  • Prior experience implementing process improvements and projects that reduce cost or improve quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain management, business, finance, or other related field of study.
  • Minimum 7 + years of work experience in distribution, supply chain, operations, sourcing, fulfillment
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment leading cost our or process/quality improvement projects.
  • Black Belt or Green Belt Certified
  • Experience using Oracle ERP Systems

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Up to 10% travel required for customer sites/ plants, etc.
