The Challenge

The successful candidate for this role will partner with the Senior Director, Compensation & Benefits and other key business stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, to design, develop, and maintain global compensation programs and practices for GE Appliances, a Haier Company. This includes the career/job structure, salary structures, and global processes for salary management.

What you will Do

• Essential Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide compensation programs and processes for below-executive employees, including developing salary structures and ranges
• Lead salary planning administration, including annual salary/merit planning
• Forge relationships to understand the business needs and serve as a consultative partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders
• Lead projects or initiatives related to market competitiveness, pay structures, career/job framework, pay equity, and/or pay transparency
• Monitor the effectiveness of compensation programs and partner with HR and business leaders to design and execute on improvements/enhancements
• Lead process to attain and maintain compensation information completeness and accuracy within the Human Resources Information System (Workday)
• Conduct Manager and HR Business Partner training to ensure understanding of compensation philosophy and management processes and compliance

What you need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Human Resources related field
• 5+ years compensation experience
• Demonstrated success and career progression in the compensation field
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing compensation programs
• Demonstrated quantitative skills and the ability to draw meaningful insights from data
• Strong PC skills including advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to design deliver and manage salary structures and base pay management programs
• Highly developed interpersonal skills to facilitate working relationships with business partners
• Highly organized and self-driven with an ability to meet multiple deadlines

Desired Characteristics

• Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other HR area
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
• Workday experience
• Able to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization and drive change
• Demonstrated successful experience in working in a high performance work environment and team-oriented culture
• Extensive experience with managing progressive compensation issues in large corporate organizations
