The Challenge

GE Appliances, a Haier Company, is determined to maintain a culture that supports and encourages diversity & inclusion. To assist in driving activities that support this desire, GE Appliances, a Haier Company is hiring a business executive to serve as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion. This position will lead all GE Appliances global diversity & inclusion strategy and work with stakeholders across the company to create and deliver initiatives designed to foster a culture of inclusion.

What you will Do

  • Drive integrated strategic alignment of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and business objectives across GE Appliances, a Haier Company globally.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team and Leadership Development Programs to ensure diverse external talent is identified and is considered for experienced and entry-level position openings.
  • Work with the Leadership team to establish, drive and activate initiatives that incorporate diversity metrics.
  • Partner with HR and global leaders to implement diversity and inclusion strategies, programs, policies, and metrics that will attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce and foster an environment of inclusion.
  • Lead and leverage GEA’s employee resource groups (ERGs) to drive business objectives by providing strategic direction and guidance to ensure alignment with company strategy and initiatives.
  • Understand and incorporate current learnings in diversity solutions and new programming developments across industries to educate and implement best practices and trends across the business
  • Identify and manage relationships with external partnerships and key organizations on behalf of GE Appliances, a Haier Company.
  • A key member of the GE Appliances Human Resources Staff.

What you need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree; Advanced Degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of experience successfully implementing and driving diversity and inclusion programs in complex matrixed organizations.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and drive business objectives.
  • Fast learner, flexible, and innovative in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment, as well as proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including creating and sustaining viable dashboards/scorecards to monitor, track progress and ensure ROI and in alignment with functional talent review processes.
  • Executive presence and ability to build follower-ship and employee connections at all levels of the organization.
