Distribution Warehouse Operations Senior Manager

The Challenge

The Distribution Warehousing Operations Senior Manager will work with our West Region 3PL partners to lead the ADCs in strong customer delivery, quality performance and safety improvements. In addition, this role will partner with cross functional program managers to deliver growth and productivity through lean, standardization, technology, and the digital thread. This position can be located at Appliance Park and also open to work remote as well.

What you will Do

  • Manage & improve all ADC direct and indirect labor costs to the Annual Op Plan, while maintaining or improving all other distribution objectives, using lean processes, SOP’s, shared documentation, measurement systems, and standardization across 3PL teams.
  • Coordinate accountability with Indirect Sourcing on 3rd party direct security personnel, focusing on process compliance, integrity, CTPAT, and required documentation.
  • Hold ADC’s accountable for and drive all customer service delivery metrics, while improving total cost of quality quarterly.
  • COA/CAR accountability and improvement co-owner with Quality team.
  • Key contact for transportation and logistics team for load timing, customer planning, & calendar alignment.
  • Measure and coordinate quarterly business 3PL incentives, along with annual scorecards, and ADC overall scores/rankings.
  • Lead cross functional activities with other program managers and NPI’s in the business as the key partner in warehouse execution, to delivery on growth, service, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate labor and readiness with key capital equipment programs and WMS/IDS upgrades.
  • Provide logistics and scheduling support  for other distribution program managers, both internal and external for annual compliance/EHS audits.
  • Work closely with digitization program manager to deliver immediate productivity improvements in variable cost as tied to digital thread.
  • Mentor and lead new HQ warehouse team members to develop process proficiency in WMS and warehouse processes.

What you need to Succeed

Position Requirement:

  • Direct experience in warehousing and/or supply chain operations, WMS, and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively manage in high volume operations with competing priorities
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and partner with customers, across functions, and at all levels of the organization
  • Strong process skills and detail orientation
  • Proven ability to partner with IT, translating functional requirements into technical specifications that can be executed cost effectively and on schedule
  • Advanced skills with MS Excel/Access
  • Ability to use analytical skills to strategically develop and execute process improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in warehousing and/or supply chain operations, WMS, and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Seven + (7+) years of work experience in distribution, warehousing, supply chain, fulfillment and/or finance
  • 2+ years of Lean Operations experience
  • Experience managing multiple warehouse operations

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment
  • Up to 20% travel required for domestic travel to customer sites/ plants, etc.
  • This position can be located at Appliance Park but open to work remote options with occasional travel to AP as needed
