Senior Electronics Program Manager – RAC/DFS Electronics

The Challenge

This role supports the Ductless Free Splits (DFS) and Room air conditioning electronics team and has responsibility for the program management of the electronic hardware and embedded and connected software. DFS and RAC programs are a hybrid between sourced products and in-house design requiring close collaboration between GE Appliances engineers and Haier in the following areas: embedded unit level software, service diagnostics and Newfi, connected and app development, and hardware (board and unit level) qualification.

What you will Do

  • Manage the full hardware and software development between GE Appliances engineers and Haier with an emphasis on schedule, quality and specification adherence.
  • Develop hardware and software test plan, managing completion and leading the electronics reviews with SCE and safety.
  • Manage the customer app development launch for all DFS and RAC products, including OTA updates
  • Manage Newfi and Service diagnostics mobile app spec and development (including wireframes, app testing schedule and release).
  • Prepare and present project status to engineering and product management.

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working on projects with an emphasis on electronic or electrical controls
  • Proven project management track record on several development projects
  • Strong project planning and project leadership skills and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and suppliers
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up to 10% Travel required including domestic and international location

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Masters in Engineering
  • Experience working with global design teams
  • Ability to clearly present data to a diverse group and openly debate technical issues
