Senior Financial Analyst

The Challenge

The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Senior Director, Operational Finance – Range. They will be responsible for reporting simplification, forecasting, and supporting the Operating and Finance teams in order to improve overall product line growth and profitability.

What you will Do

  • Support cross-functional analysis working to improve overall product line profitability
  • Own commercial PL estimates for SRO, LTP, and SII processes working closely with PFM and NPI analysts
  • Product Line manager for commercial Hoshin process, ensuring teams are aligned across the Customer/Product Line matrix.
  • Partner with Group FP&A team to make improvements related to E2E profitability reporting
  • Assist with product/platform profitability reporting and analysis
  • Drive connectivity/alignment between SOP, PM, & Commercial teams through use of Hyperion planning system, including volume analysis and monetization of units
  • Provide support to Operating/Finance team on key initiatives/ad hoc reporting
  • Head up process improvement including reporting simplification and automation, and forecasting accuracy across the product line
  • Work closely with multiple plants and suppliers on volume estimates, product mix, and capacity capabilities
  • Execute Month-End close activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

What you need to Succeed

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate finance
  • Strong experience building financial statements, forecasting and financial models to help the business make decisions
  • Ability to develop and optimize business processes to help the organization deliver on goals
  • Ability to be a trusted advisor and partner to the business, while providing independent insights and perspective
  • Strong background articulating financial concepts and ideas to varying audiences through presentations, emails, proposals and other verbal and written communications
  • Experience aligning projects and work with internal controls, accounting & compliance policies, and ensuring risks are identified, addressed, escalated or mitigated
