Under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager the Maintenance Desk Coordinator will be the primary point of distribution and workflow for all work orders received by the department. Assures accuracy of information entered in the computerized work order system. Serves as main point of contact for customer service requests.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Receive facilities and maintenance requests concerning problems, secure and record information such as nature of problem, location, and other necessary information; determine the urgency of service requests and dispatch service.
  • Generate work orders and track from initial receipt to operational closure.
  • Establish prioritization and coordinate trade/skillset assignment depending on severity of the call; adjust priority of requests; catalog and track after hour’s calls.
  • Contact clients for additional information and data; notify clients of any changes to work schedule.
  • Perform the full range of duties, working independently, applying well-developed subject knowledge, and exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Receive occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise.
  • Fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the work unit.
  • Work is reviewed based on compliance, appropriateness, and effectiveness in meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Receive general supervision from manager or staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

·               High School Diploma or equivalent required

·               Associates degree or certification in related field is preferred.

·               3 to 5years of experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment

·               3 to 5 years of experience in a maintenance dispatcher/coordinator role preferred.

·               Self-motivated individual who excels in a team environment

·               Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·               Strong attention to detail required

·               Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

·               Proficiency with basic operations of a computer; MS Outlook, Excel and experience using workflow systems

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without accommodations.

Must be able to access all required areas pertaining to job duties.

Must be able to pass the standard physical examination given to maintenance.

Cannot be color blind.

Repetitive bending or twisting

Standing or sitting for long periods of time.

Use of personal protective equipment

Intermittent lifting of parts or tools up to 70lbs.
