You'll lead and execute the Total Production Maintenance (TPM) culture and program for the plant as well as:
Guide the company standards within the factory and serve as a change agent for continuous improvement throughout the operation.
Steer TPM events within the factory and train the equipment operators and supervisors on how to maintain continuous improvements.
Coordinate with the operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop and improve autonomous, preventative, predictive, and reliability maintenance programs.
Provide status reports regarding the execution of TPM activities. Identify issues and provides recommendations to address roadblocks and areas of opportunity.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on the application of TPM methodology, culture, and tools in one-on-one and group settings to reinforce knowledge and skills attained during TPM training.
Provide training on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), PDCA Principles, Root Cause & Problem Solving Techniques, Theory of Constraints, Visual Management, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Poka-Yoke, A3 Thinking & Kaizen
Coordinate with TPM Coach to execute a TPM learning/training plan for the factory. Create opportunities for employees to learn through their jobs and within the classroom. Make recommendations regarding the enhancement or development of training programs.
Influencing the many functions and positions within the plant to grow and evolve the TPM culture.
Expand TPM success by collaborating with TPM peers and company TPM Coach to identify and implement best practices into the central TPM program and standards.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering: preferable in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment and/or facilities maintenance roles.
3+ years' hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment and processes.
Experience with Lean & TPM manufacturing principles.
Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members.)
Good communication and influencing skills – will be expected to coach and influence cultural shift within the plant in addition to providing program report-outs to a cross-functional team.
Displays strong coaching and influencing skills, along with the ability to inspire employees and managers on all levels.
Must be goal-oriented and proactive in problem-solving, coupled with creativity and a high energy level.
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
