The Challenge

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for converting data and privacy-related business requirements into processes, software specifications, product configurations, and integrations. This role directly influences GEA’s touchpoints with owners and consumers. It works directly with the GEA Chief Privacy Officer and DT Enterprise Architects. It also assists other functional teams with design decisions, technology choices, and timelines for deliverables. This person exhibits an understanding of the data privacy domain, industry trends and helps GE Appliances not only fulfill a variety of regulatory and compliance requirements but go beyond and make our owners feel safe about their data with us.

What you will Do

•  (60%) Learns and enriches Data Privacy functional knowledge, configuration, integration and, testing for the enterprise-wide data privacy software platform, OneTrust:

  • Own the OneTrust platform.  
  • Proactively ensure system stability and reliability.
  • Analyze, test, and implement the newly released features and their utility/impact.
  • Drive Data Privacy compliance metrics.
  • Generate ideas for automation via processes and/or software development and execute the same in test and prod environments.
  • Define and plan the work ahead and execute to plan. Manage/flex priorities and communicate changes to stakeholders.

•  (20%) Creates documentation of development, configuration, testing, change management, and deployment processes, etc.

•  (20%) Maintains the project rigor/communication and updates the tasks in respective tools

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college.

• Minimum 2+ years of business/systems analyst experience

• Hands-on software development/testing /rollout experience using Python and Java, and/or AWS Lambda functions.

• Experience with SQL

​• Working knowledge of the agile PM ​process

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and logical skills

• Strong drive to make things happen amid uncertainty (due to changes in laws or in their interpretation/applicability to the business etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to a Privacy Management software platform, such as OneTrust.

• Project, task, and resource management for techno-functional projects CAPM Certified.
