Distribution Support Representative

The Challenge

The Distribution Support Representative will assist the GE Appliance Local Delivery Network (Agents) by resolving issues and answering questions related to GEA and Non-GEA vendor shipments. These positions will begin with working reports provided via Excel, Access, and GEA Delivers. They will make necessary changes to the system to allow inbound trucks to be received by the delivery agents. Once fully trained on inbound processes, the representatives will take phone calls, answer emails, and support other areas of DSSO as needed.

What you will Do

  • Review and analyze data retrieved from Multiple web-based systems. (GEA Delivers and Oracle/EBS)
  • Utilizing online systems to process inbound shipments.
  • Interact with Local delivery agents and region managers via email.
  • Monitor 3 reports daily, comparing data and making inventory corrections where needed.
  • Work with DSSO Leadership to correct any issues that cannot be corrected manually.
  • Answer phone calls and emails from the GEA Local Delivery Network to resolve issues and answer questions related to GEA and Non-GEA vendor shipments.
  • Manage GEA inventory through daily team processes, and yearly physical inventory.
  • Provide extra support where needed.

What you need to Succeed

Position Requirement:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong inclusive relationship skills, for both external agents and internal teams.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a proven record of resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including experience manipulating Excel reports and the ability to manage multiple web-based applications at one time.
  • Flexible with ability to take direction from management yet work independently to achieve goals.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Better
  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience preferably in customer service or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or better

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work remotely until Office Option resumes.

Minimum Technical Requirements:

  • Reliable, high-speed internet connection with at least 30mb download speed – cable or fiber (NO dial-up, satellite or cellular hotspots)
  • Smartphone with Android OS or iPhone
