The Challenge

This role will serve as primary architect for PTC Thingworx IIOT platform with building future roadmap for the platform in supporting our Digital Enterprise.

What you will Do

Candidate will work with cross functional business and DT team to develop a vision/roadmap for IIOT Digital Enterprise Thingworx Platform, work with vendors and lead all the development projects to grow and mature the platform for GEA.


What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications & Experience required:-

- B.E / BTech - Electronics/ I.T / Computer Science
- Minimum of 10-12 years of overall experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product environment, or Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience
- Min. 3 years of hands- on experience in developing end- to- end IoT applications that are comprised of cloud- based applications and services, web applications, data analytics, wireless communication systems, embedded sensors and devices along with mobile App
- Experience in Engineering and IT as technical architect role developing large-scale systems based on complex integration solutions and server/ cloud based web application.
Industry - Automation, IIoT/ Digital Manufacturing
Hands on knowledge on ThingWorx platform and designing enterprise wide architecture for ThingWorx. Good understanding of various deployment Architecture pros and cons.
Deep Understanding of ThingWorx user interface, modeling & connectivity technologies, modules & extensions
Deep exposure to development, deployment and maintenance of cloud-based applications/ platforms
Create ThingWorx application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architectural principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices
Good experience in multiple cloud platforms, especially from Device and Enterprise architecture integrations design and implementation perspectives.
Good understanding of various factory protocols and should be comfortable in using PTC kepware technologies in bridging IT/OT convergence Architectures.
Good understanding of sensor to gateway/cloud connectivity solutions and Edge server development on ThingWorx.
Good understanding of drivers for edge sensors, device provisioning and protocols.
Experience with cloud platforms Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc
Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other commercial integrations platform like Mulesoft etc
Solid experience in Enterprise wide production rollout of Thingworx platform for highly available business requirement including DR, HA and security measures to be undertaken for internet facing deployment.
Should have implemented / Architected at least 2-3 Projects in this space from Engineering or IT perspective. Very well versed with different design patterns in n-tier architectures

Preferred Qualification & Experience:-

PLM Architect Experience = example; PTC Windchill/Navigate
Coordinate with software development team in developing and implementing software applications.
Propose most effective architectural solutions to meet cost, quality and schedule requirements.
Work with project team to design prototypes to validate application functionality.
Participate in design, code and test plan reviews as needed and provide appropriate recommendations.
Analyse software issues and recommend workaround solutions.
Assist in development of design documents, white papers, training documents and software architectural documents.
Lead technical design with the development teams, including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models, etc., and detailed design specifications to ensure that architectural standards are followed
Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections & keep technology solutions within budgets and timelines
Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry and market trends to identify potential product ideas and implementation strategies
Meets with project leaders and software development leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements
Functions independently within agreed work plan on multiple projects with limited supervision
Acts with authority to lead the new product development process
Takes decisions on everyday matters that impact the different stages of new projects along with leading cross-functional teams and seeking guidance and inputs in key issues
Takes proactive measures to institutionalize and build an innovation-focused culture and identifies best practices that can benefit the team.
