The Challenge

GE Appliances is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst who will help run the financial estimating, closing, and reporting responsibilities for the Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will be an advocate for controllership and also has experience with planning cycles, reporting processes. They should demonstrate the ability to work well across multiple functions / key stakeholders.

What you will Do

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Drive initiative to enhance and improve cost forecasting accuracy and performance across the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory, Distribution, Sourcing, Quality, and HQ functions.
  • Help manage the formal planning cycles for Supply Chain, both long range outlook and 1 year budgeting processes ensuring connectivity throughout the business/product lines on Supply Chain numbers
  • Ensure alignment on cost with operational owners, understand fundamental drivers of cost and changes in estimates, and communicate those results to the operating teams, Product Lines team, and Group FP&A
  • Head up closing processes for Supply Chain as well as facilitate the preparation of the Supply Chain closing package reported to leadership
  • Understand and report out Supply Chain analytic metrics including productivity, cost out, and other operational or financial KPI’s
  • Drive connectivity and continuous improvement in reporting & processes with a particular focus on E2E (end to end) & Product Lines
  • Support Ad Hoc requests and analysis as needed

What you need to Succeed

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • 5+ years of finance experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
  • Solid process and problem solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and coordinate cross-functional activities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information to all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to see the details as well as the big picture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous FP&A and Supply Chain finance experience
  • FDP (Finance Development Program) or other leadership program graduate
  • Knowledge of Hyperion
