The Challenge

We are looking for an energetic, organized, and enthusiastic self-starter to support the GE Appliances Global Executive Medical Director, and the Health Benefits and Services leadership team (onsite primary care, occupational health, corporate health and wellness, and health benefits). The Senior Administrative Assistant is a highly valued member of the team who is relied on to coordinate, manage, schedule, and support the overall team. In addition to managing the day-to-day administrative support needs, this position will also support management of multiple vendors in a highly matrixed organization.

What you will Do

  • Provide administrative support to the Global Executive Medical Director and the Health Benefits and Services leadership team
  • Maintain deep operational knowledge of the Health Benefits and Services functional areas and associated vendor services and, as such, support their coordination and collaborative engagement 
  • Exercise initiative and independent decision making on a wide range of assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Anticipate needed actions and handle follow-up independently
  • Interact at all levels (internal/external) with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Coordinate/plan/schedule executive-level meetings, appointments, and travel
  • Coordinate and plan vendor visits
  • Produce creative executive-level presentations
  • Order assets, supplies and manage expense reports
  • Assist and coordinate activities including but not limited to team events and activities, and interviews
  • Manage additional projects/initiatives as needed


  • Minimum of a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years supporting an Executive Team
  • Demonstrated above average administrative and planning skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations in a confidential manner
  • Able to provide positive examples of self-initiated, independent projects with minimum direction
  • Demonstrated computer skills including experience in proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Flexibility to work beyond the normal work-day schedule as needed
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proven decision-making ability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while remaining organized and efficient

What you need to Succeed

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry a plus
  • Previous experience supporting global teams and/or teams in multiple sites with multiple time zones
  • Previous experience working with multi-cultural teams
