The Challenge

GE Appliances is currently recruiting for a part-time Occupational Health Nurse Case Manager to join our growing team!

What you will Do


  • Provide case management of post offer candidate medical exams.
  • Document in systems, follow documented processes to manage cases through to resolution.
  • Establish productive working relationships with the stakeholders and employees through strong communication skills and regular scheduled meetings.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of critical information, as appropriate.
  • Provide initial assessment of the post offer medical screening process & post offer vendor and refer for further evaluation as necessary
  • Request required medical information/clearance from treating providers.
  • When applicable obtain functional limitations and work abilities from candidate’s treating medical provider(s), while ensuring an interactive ADA process.
  • Review medical records to determine capability with essential job functions with past/current medical history and condition(s) and obtain necessary clearance, utilizing an interactive ADA process.
  • Collaborate with new hire vendor partner and GE Appliances Occupational Health stakeholders to carry out the objectives of the post offer services.
  • Upload all post offer documents and document case status, pending details and required actions throughout the process.
  • Maintain & safeguard confidentiality of candidate/employee health information and health records.
  • Ensure interactive dialog between candidates & medical providers to provide accurate medical documentation.

What you need to Succeed


  • Baccalaureate (PREFERRED) or Associate degree in nursing  
  • Certification in case management or occupational health nursing preferred
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state(s) of employment & practice


  • Three (3) or more years nursing experience preferred
  • Experience in case management, occupational health, community health, ambulatory care, critical care, or emergency nursing preferred
  • Nurse Case Manager with RN /RN-COHN (CCM or CDMS credentials preferred) or equivalent years Occupational or Industrial Disability Case Management
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-functional teamwork and ability to collaborate and        facilitate across multiple functions
  • Computer competency, multi-platform data information systems


  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to make independent nursing judgments, solve problems, and prioritize


  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional & friendly attitude with all levels of the workforce. 
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
