The Challenge

The Executive Director – Free Standing Range ( FSR) has the overall E2E responsibility for the FSR business. In this role you will lead innovation, development, justification and execution of all FSR products, ecosystem development and hardware/software initiatives. While driving strong alignment across all functions including Product, Brand, IDO, Marketing, Sales, Service and Operations teams, this role will execute a MGPP for the House of Brands. While bringing this to life for our product lines, this role must also ensure alignment to Hoshin and our P&PD strategies, ultimately bringing leading products to market that win. The Executive Director of FSR will report to the Vice President of Cooking.

What you will Do

  • Own and Manage overall profitability and product line performance:  Key metrics are Sales, EBIT and Cash. Areas of focus include Sales, Total Product Cost, Pricing, Share, Mix, SCR and key elements of investment deck NPI, MCTO, RTP and COQ.
  • Deliver on key Cooking Hoshin metrics, goals and objectives for Free standing Range products and cooking ecosystem
  • Develop and execute strong innovative brand strategies; and shape the brand architecture to grow GEA leadership in the segment using the Long Term Planning process, Connected Feature offerings, Modular Architecture Framework, Factory Master Plans and Strategic Supplier strategy.
  • Align with the insights team on consumer research on required product attributes desired by consumer/customer and direct cross-functional efforts to deliver on the requirements.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership of operations, technology, sourcing and integration with marketing and sales to drive product line performance for all key metrics including Sales, EBIT, and Cash.
  • Lead role in the S&OE forecast process and aligning the factories to the market requirements.
  • Leading role in the Leiser and Roper Product Councils
  • Develop relationships with key customers, and products to help them meet their goals, while driving GEA growth and profitability.  Collaborate with Commercial Directors to form promotional strategies for key selling holidays to grow share during these windows.
  • Drive high consumer satisfaction through understanding of Cost of Quality and Ratings & Review priorities
  • Engage suppliers at a strategic level with Sourcing team to abate inflation and tariff pressures
  • Support the commercialization process as new products go to market
  • Execute all product related initiatives

What you need to Succeed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA/BS degree from a university or college in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 14+ years of Brand, Marketing, Operations or broad-based business experience including roles of increasing complexity and responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple large product lines across various categories.
  • Entrepreneurial  style with a strong bias for action and results orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to hold your own through strong pressure testing of ideas in a challenging environment.
  • Possesses strong product sense, with ability to bring consumer insight to bear on product design and digital product roadmaps, including connected features, yielding successful product innovation launches into consumer brands
  • Demonstrated experience in cross functional and leadership level communications
  • Experience collaborating with high performance teams as well as influencing cross-functional teams to deliver strong execution.  
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to understand and drive business metrics
  • Adaptive leader, curious and willing to learn and evolve in a challenging environment, comfortable in a faced paced work environment
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to Supplier & Customer sites as needed
  • Excellent organizational, project management and problem solving skills.

Preferred

  • Prior experience launching a new business for a consumer brand
  • Experience launching adjacent product or software offerings a strong plus
  • Innovative mindset with eye toward creating digital strategies to differentiate products and lead in the marketplace
  • Curious and continuous learner, leveraging multiple resources both external and internal to inform strategic vision
  • Cross-functional leadership experience, including running product management in different industries
  • Previous experience in Appliances or a consumer products business
  • Results oriented: proven ability to deliver on commitments and follow through with strong influencing skills
