The Challenge

This role is responsible for leading a multi-platform SEM and social strategy that builds brand awareness, provides revenue growth, and engages consumers across the shopping lifecycle. Leading paid marketing and social strategy for GE Appliances brands including GE, GE Profile, Haier, and Hotpoint, they partner with internal and external teams to lead successful digital and social campaigns.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

Coordinate Direct to Consumer Digital Marketing campaigns & activities

  • Coordinate and execute the strategy for integrated online Marketing campaigns that deliver increased web site traffic and conversion rates.
  • Partner with external agencies to lead omni-channel campaigns including SEM, Digital Marketing, Retargeting and Social Selling.
  • Oversee development of campaign KPIs, optimization efforts and agency accountability to deliver on key objectives and results.  

Develop comprehensive multi-platform social content strategy for GE, GE Profile, Haier, and Hotpoint brands:

  • Collaborate with key internal constituents from Marketing, PR, Product Management, etc.
  • Analyze and define platform needs and growth opportunities.
  • Research new technologies and emerging platforms.
  • Leverage high-level learnings from agencies and external partners.

Oversee the always-on native social content calendars, messaging strategy and sponsored content campaigns for all brands:

  • Management, guidance, and development of the Social Media Senior Specialist to bring the social strategy to life for GE, GE Profile, Hair, and Hotpoint channels.
  • Collaborate with key internal constituents from Marketing, PR, Product Management, etc.
  • Partner with multiple external agencies on key campaigns, product launches and new opportunities.

Lead social and digital content creation:

  • Manage regular photo and video shoots.
  • Oversee development of sponsored content campaigns and other opportunities to leverage new and existing content.
  • Oversee the partnerships with influencers and external agencies to produce user-generated content.
  • Collaborate with key internal constituents from Marketing, PR, Product Management, etc.
  • Set and manage approved budget, as well as identify additional funding sources

Consult with the social media engagement team on issues and messaging; support and respond to questions from social media moderators

What you need to Succeed


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 7 years of social and/or digital marketing experience, preferably with a Communications or PR background
  • Prior campaign management experience to include paid search, ad testing and social ads
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and lead others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
