Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

The Challenge

GE Appliances is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, based in Mexico City. In this role, you will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting on the IFRS of the Company’s participation in its Latin America Appliances Joint Venture. You will perform various roles in the company in support of financial results giving strategic support for decision making, working with internal and external clients, and collaborating with other regions and functions of the company when needed.

What you will Do

  • Lead financial analysis related to GEA – JV operation as well as Local Company based in Mexico including Annual and Monthly planning cycles and variance analysis.
  • Provides leadership for monthly financial closing net Income booking and reporting.
  • Key finance person in interaction with cross-functional teams across the Latin America Region and International with USA and China teams.
  • Own the weekly estimating process frequently interacting with International Finance Director at the estimate reviews
  • Own controllership rhythms for fixed assets and physical inventory.
  • Additional support of Programs including GEA International operation and Mexico´s Local audit.
  • Responsible for monthly closing and quarterly account reconciliation requirements
  • Monthly and annual Planning and reporting cycles for GEA International figures.
  • Financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Facilitate the formal planning cycles, both long range outlook and 1 year budgeting and forecasting process…ensuring connectivity throughout the business
  • Account reconciliations, Weekly estimates, Monthly and Quarterly closing process

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Administration
  • Minimum 5+ years of finance experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills.
  • Solid process and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information to all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to see the details as well as the big picture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous FP&A and finance experience
  • FDP or other leadership program graduate
  • Knowledge of Hyperion
  • Communication in a multicultural and multilanguage environment
