The Challenge

An ECDP Summer Associate Internship consists of 10-12 weeks. It is an opportunity for candidates to work on a challenging business assignment while gaining exposure to key business leaders. The ECDP Summer Associate Internship program is the primary means for selection for ECDP - described in more detail below.

What you will Do

The Experienced Commercial Development Program (ECDP) is GE Appliances’ development program for experienced high potential sales and marketing professionals seeking to accelerate career growth through a structured program involving challenging assignments, learning opportunities and special projects.

ECDP is built upon our strong legacy of renowned training development programs. To supplement challenging on-the-job learning, program participants will strengthen their commercial, business, and leadership skills through classroom training and industry symposiums. To accelerate learning and development, ECDP provides members assignments in and exposure to diverse commercial functions within GE Appliances. Upon successful completion of the program, ECDP graduates will be considered for key commercial roles in GE Appliances. Members may be required to relocate while on program.

The desire is for this ECDP Summer Associate Internship to be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Louisville, KY.  Should factors in the external environment prevent an in-person internship, the position would be shifted to a virtual format.  The final decision of in-person or virtual will be made approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the start date. Housing & Relocation assistance available.

What you need to Succeed


  • Pursing a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Demonstrated achievement and leadership in sales and/or marketing
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to embrace change
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 3+ years sales or marketing experience
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future
  • Geographic mobility within the United States


  • Experience in consumer packaged goods, retail, or advertising
  • Strong customer or consumer advocate
