Senior Design Engineer

The Challenge

Develop, validate, and implement design solutions. Own concept development for new designs using DFMEA, GD&T, Creo, Polyworks, prototyping, and testing labs. Validate the effectiveness of design solutions using Design for Six Sigma, Design for Reliability, and LEAN methodologies. Update and develop new Engineering Test Procedures to support the continuous improvements. Document project learnings. Participate in competitive teardowns and conduct performance benchmarking to identify opportunities and best practices for adoption. Drive craftsmanship into design solutions to deliver best-in-class fit, feel, and finish. Interface with other COE engineers and cross-functional team members to ensure design changes effectively integrate at the system level and into the production process.

What you will Do

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 7 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree related experience is required. The position also requires 5 years of experience in product development, including the ownership of consumer product part and component design; 3 years of experience developing prototypes for consumer product parts and systems; and 1 year of experience in the design and development of rack movement systems for dishwashers
