Sourcing Senior Manager, IT - Remote

The Challenge

Manages the total cost, relationship, commodity and supplier strategies for all Information and Digital Technology (“IDT”) needs. Guides the Digital Technology (“DT”) function through vendor sourcing, contracting, and manages on-going monitoring process to ensure compliance with GEA and external regulatory requirements. Works collaboratively and negotiates the ability to address needs for affiliated business units in conjunction with GEA requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert in the commodity, including the technology, materials, negotiation, market, and competition. Executes on large strategic business actions and enables expansion of GEA’s digitization strategies. Drives the execution of the commodity strategy for products and programs. The Sourcing Senior Manager works in tandem with DT and cross functionally to establish complex contractual relationships and manage vendor relationships. Additionally, this person will be responsible for Business Solutions (HR and Finance) and Technology (Engineering) internal functional areas.

What you will Do

  • Develops processes in collaboration with DT, Sourcing, Legal and Business functions by which vendors are evaluated and selected in accordance with company policies
  • Seeks synergy opportunities to leverage strategies or other Haier business units
  • Coordinates and maintains contracts and other legal agreements for the department
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities resulting from IDT Sourcing activities
  • Executes performance monitoring on vendors
  • Acts upon gathered performance data and provides quarterly feedback to DT Leadership and business partners to ensure quality
  • Establishes SLA and metrics dashboard including quality measurements
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates internal and external Service Level Agreements to identify areas of improvement

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of relevant experience within IT, Sourcing, program management, commodity management or in a related role involving negotiating, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers and/or implementing contracts
  • Solid track record of project leadership and execution with significant and impactful results 
  • Accustomed to working autonomously, as well as with global cross-functional teams, executive business leaders, vendors, and maintain relationship with user community
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and technologies
  • Understanding of lifecycle for enterprise applications, agile and Software Development Life Cycle processes, as well as software and software as a service business models
  • Experienced in vendor management processes including agreement negotiations and vendor performance monitoring
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
  • Exceptional communication skills and advanced ability to effectively influence
  • Proven vendor management, negotiating, influencing, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly evolved business acumen, possess exceptional analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive or be a steady team player that collaborates well with others to solve problems and incorporates input from various sources
  • Professional oral/written and consultative communication skills
  • Consummate problem solving and collaborative skills to develop and implement business strategies cross-functionally and globally
  • Proven mentor and team player with a sound track record of winning
  • Change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Legal degree
  • 5 years of functional Sourcing experience, with purchasing experience and advanced knowledge specifically in Information Technology
  • Experienced with Sourcing Systems and processes, including Oracle
  • Familiarity with Legal terminology and risk mitigation
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification
  • SOX experience
