The Challenge

The Customer Service Specialist is a key partner to their assigned Customer Service Manaer and the Customer Service Representatives. Specialists look for opportunities to improve processes, make recommendations to drive compliance and enable process simplification. Specialist priorities and team(s) they support can change based on business need, so flexibility with work assignments is a must.

What you will Do

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to Customer Service Representatives and Managers by staffing the 4100 (i.e. Help) line, assisting with floor coverage, conducting side-by-sides and giving feedback and coaching when needed. Specialist will also support teams by providing back-up phone coverage during peak call periods.

  • Assist in training and development of new Customer Service Representatives.

  • Serve as a liaison between GE Appliances and customers to mitigate any issues. This could include electronic connectivity solution, order entry and product availability. Provide support as necessary to resolve any OSB (Order, Ship, Bill) issues.

  • Manage GE Appliances Specialty Team accounts as needed; accounts and team support may change depending on business need.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven self-starter who is proactive and possesses strong organization, time management and process improvement skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate and build rapport at all levels of the Customer Service and Sales organizations required.
  • Demonstrated team player with schedule flexibility to meet evolving business needs. A strong attendance pattern is a must.
  • Possess strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to manage multiple web-based applications at one time.
  • This position is open to employees located remotely. Remote based employees are responsible for ensuring their work environment allows them to meet their job responsibilities. This includes reliable high-speed internet with the ability to connect directly to the router via ethernet if needed. Maintaining a distraction free work setting is crucial.
  • Must be available to work some late shifts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior manager and/or specialist experience in a call center strongly preferred.
