The Challenge

The successful candidate for this role will partner with the Senior Director, Compensation & Benefits, and other key business stakeholders, including business leaders, to design, develop, and maintain global variable compensation programs and practices for GE Appliances, a Haier Company. This includes short- and long-term incentives, other bonuses, and sales commission.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with key business stakeholder on variable compensation and sales commission plan design
  • Lead company-wide, global variable compensation administration, including annual bonus planning and long-term incentive planning
  • Forge relationships to understand the business needs and serve as a consultative partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders
  • Lead employee communication efforts to ensure understanding of variable compensation programs
  • Lead projects or initiatives related to market competitiveness, bonus structures and programs, sales commission programs, and other non-base pay initiatives
  • Monitor the effectiveness of compensation programs and partner with HR and business leaders to design and execute on improvements/enhancements
  • Lead process to attain and maintain compensation information completeness and accuracy within the Human Resources Information System (Workday)
  • Conduct Manager and HR Business Partner training to ensure understanding of variable compensation programs, processes and their role in planning

What you need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Human Resources related field
  • 10+ years compensation experience
  • Demonstrated success and career progression in the compensation field
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing compensation programs
  • Able to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization and drive change
  • Demonstrated quantitative skills and the ability to draw meaningful insights from data
  • Strong PC skills including advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to design, deliver, manage, and communicate sales, variable incentive compensation and other incentive plans
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to facilitate working relationships with business partners
  • Highly organized and self-driven with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Significant HR practices and applicable regulatory knowledge

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other HR area
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Workday experience
  • Demonstrated successful experience in working in a high performance work environment and team-oriented culture

Extensive experience with managing progressive compensation issues in large corporate organization
