The Challenge

The Shared Services Financial Analyst will report to the Treasury & Shared Services Accounting & FP&A Senior Manager. You will provide day-to-day accounting, forecasting, reporting, and analytical support over our total business trade Accounts Payable (“AP”) and AP disbursement activities and processes. This position will play an active role in several key business initiatives aimed toward digitally transforming and optimizing certain aspects of our overall AP function.

What you will Do

  • Own all accounting, reporting, and analyses for monthly total business AP balance sheet balances of $1.2B+ and annual AP disbursements of $9.0B+
  • Develop and refine activity-based AP balance sheet and AP disbursement forecasting models as a key component of our total business cash forecasting processes
  • Demonstrate sound controllership and financial management across multiple AP working capital programs, including maintaining appropriate internal controls, reconciliations, and reviews with the AP and Digital Technology teams to streamline day-to-day processes
  • Lead in the design and implementation of AP dashboards and other reporting tools to highlight actionable, data-driven business insights and present KPIs in real-time
  • Partner closely with our AP and Digital Technology teams to ensure a seamless and timely cutover of remaining business activity to our new Oracle ERP system
  • Effectively support all functional internal and external financial audits, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Employ critical thinking and process improvement skills to streamline overall flow of monthly/quarterly closing, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Provide strong day-to-day operational support throughout the organization as needed as it relates to the AP function and systems
  • Complete ad hoc assignments and projects assigned by the Treasury & Shared Services Accounting & FP&A Senior Manager

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or finance
  • Minimum 3 years of high-impact experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or another related field
  • Accountable self-starter who consistently leverages strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective business solutions
  • Adept at navigating challenging business scenarios and successfully managing several concurrent projects
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and financial modeling principles and techniques
  • GEA Finance Competencies and skill level needed:
    • Financial Management (Builds reliable and accurate financial statements, forecasts, and models to provide the business with the best information to make decisions, prioritize, solve problems, and drive strategy. Leverages knowledge of financial/accounting and business expertise.) – Proficient

    • Controllership/Risk Management (Builds strong processes and provides inputs to align business projects and transactions with internal controls framework, accounting policies, related disclosures, and compliance policies. Ensures that potential risks are identified and mitigated and escalates issues that exceed risk tolerance.) - Proficient

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA/CMA or MBA/Master’s Degree in Accountancy a plus
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP and/or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, OBIA)
