The Challenge

As a Senior Financial Analyst you will support our Roper Corporation where we build the best cooking products in the world! You will report directly to the Director of Finance and partner with Plant Operations in driving plant and product line profitability and cash goals. You will have the opportunity to be a strong advocate for controllership by supporting inventory and fixed asset from an accounting and compliance perspective, in addition to providing balance sheet reporting and reconciliation.

What you will Do

  • Financial lead for estimating and maintaining product cost standards supporting ~$450M in annual parts production/purchasing
  • Lead Make/Buy analysis cross-functionally for insourcing and outsourcing of parts and supporting volume discussions around demand and production needs; considering cost, cash, and risk impact
  • Ensure proper accounting and compliance in managing ~$10M+ of raw & in-process inventory, including leadership of annual site physical inventory, cycle count process and root cause of variance drivers
  • Work with operations team to reduce scrap costs including standard work on scrap tickets
  • Define and execute financial operating routines such as weekly & quarterly estimates, planning cycles, month-end closing, monthly Balance Sheet estimates and Account Reconciliations
  • Work with cross functional teams to understand profitability and provide financial information on current production and potential new product introductions
  • Ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard plant assets, including Physical inventories of material and Plant and Equipment
  • Ensure proper accounting and compliance on plant fixed asset base

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ Finance experience
  • Ability to work in matrix environment supporting Finance, Materials, Operations, and Product Lines
  • Effective communicator - able to work with all levels of management
  • Strong financial analysis skills - understand key financial metrics & analysis techniques
  • Strong Controllership mindset with independent view - will "raise the flag” when warranted

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, MBA
  • Experience with ERP, Oracle, SQL
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
