Collaborate with factory operations to achieve and exceed product quality targets for: first pass yield (FPY), scrap, SCR, and other cost of quality (COQ) metrics
Analyze Test Loop results data and lead corrective actions necessary to maintain FPY
Provide technical ownership to govern product conformity and where necessary, facilitate component and finished product containment activities
Communicate containment or corrective actions to subsequent production shift(s)
Execute continuous improvement projects through waste elimination, predictive maintenance, and downtime reduction
Support workstation documentation process by creating, updating, and maintaining Manufacturing Control Plans (MCPs), Manufacturing Control Instructions (MCIs), Visual Aids, and Quality Alerts as needed.
Experience with manufacturing quality/ quality improvement projects and/or process improvement in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment
Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles
Ability to work in large cross-functional teams that span multiple organizational levels
Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills – will be expected to conduct strong coordination with adjacent shifts and provide report outs (written or verbal) to organizational leadership
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of cross-functional program deliverables and ability to drive decisions based on the overall benefit to the company
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent 5 years’ of demonstrated success in manufacturing quality disciplines
Experience with manufacturing quality/NPI quality projects and process improvement
Experience interpreting data to solve problems
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
Computer literate and skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, and Outlook
Six Sigma Certified
Quality Leadership experience
Lean Manufacturing experience
Experience in appliance or similar high-volume manufacturing processes
Familiarity with regulatory or notified bodies for quality management systems: Eg. ISO, TUV, etc.
High-volume manufacturing environment.
This environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
These roles will require frequent walking in a manufacturing plant environment.
Travel will be limited but trips to other manufacturing locations may be scheduled
This position will be in AP3 - Louisville, KY.
Hours & Weekends: Working off-shift and weekends may be required.
