The Challenge

The E-commerce Operations Manager is a key position within the Emerging Markets Organization. This role is responsible for driving planning and execution towards assortment, marketing, and operational excellence and enabling processes and systems for scaling GE Appliances business with our E-commerce partners. The primary focus of this role will be Amazon, but may also support operations work processes for specialty customers, also within the Emerging Markets Channel.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive supply planning against the targeted sales plan with internal and retail partner stakeholders
  • Provide inputs to GE Appliances Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for 1P, Direct Fulfillment and 3P channels on Amazon and other Drop-ship customers to ensure supply plan, product allocations and availability match the sales plan
  • Drive general order management (for example, PO confirmations, PO adjustments, managing ship-windows) and address issues around inventory feeds, pick-ups, stock availability to ensure smooth order management
  • Manage any new supply planning and fulfillment efforts for the business and partner with cross-functional teams to establish business requirements and drive rollout
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring performance against key metrics and identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Analyze customer data to highlight trends that will enable better business planning and execution
  • Identify new capabilities and existing systems & process improvement opportunities and partner across Operations and Business teams to identify and implement solutions or provide recommendations and track progress as needed

What you need to Succeed


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in one of more of the following areas: E-commerce, fulfillment, business operations, order management, business analytics and/or other closely related areas 
  • Experience with Excel for data analysis and insight generation
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and influence cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to deep dive, understand complex problems and connect dots
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to streamline processes
  • Strong preference given to those with Amazon Vendor or Seller Central Experience

  • Experience working in a retail, consumer products manufacturer, or e-commerce environment.
