A 1,000-acre campus with its very own zip code, GE Appliances' legendary Appliance Park has seen its share of upgrades, including an onsite medical center, a facility-wide recycling program and the addition of the Park Athletic Club, an onsite fitness center available to all employees. Additionally, employees can meet, lunch or just relax on a park-like greenspace dubbed The Meadow, which was built over the site of a former manufacturing building.

GE Appliances has a satellite office location in the Forum Office Park near the intersection of Shelbyville Road and North Hurstbourne Parkway. There are four buildings in this 22-acre office complex. GE Appliances is housed in Forum IV, the only three-story building in the complex. GE Appliances has been located at the Forum since 1988. It is home to approximately 300 employees who support critical business functions such as customer service, customer financial services, digital marketing and social media, and distribution services.

Today, nearly 6,000 people—really just one big family—come to work at Appliance Park to help design, build and market the world's best appliances.

Where Low Cost of Living Meets High Quality of Life

Voted "Most Compassionate City" and "Most Livable City," the Louisville area is more than just the Kentucky Derby, baseball bats and Bourbon. A regional mecca for arts and culture, Louisville boasts its own opera, orchestra, ballet company and zoo, as well as the nationally-acclaimed Actor’s Theatre and newly-expanded Speed Art Museum.

It's also a hub for indie music, regional and college sports, and has a robust "maker" culture. Voted one of the "World's 10 Best Food Cities" by National Geographic, Louisville is rightfully proud of its remarkable food scene, which includes superb craft breweries and distilleries, plus two of the best coffee shops in the country.

Louisville Centrally Located

Louisville's central location in the Ohio River Valley means it's just a few hours' drive from cities like Chicago, Nashville, Cincinnati and St. Louis, and is surrounded by natural beauty offering a range of outdoor recreation opportunities.

Blessed with four seasons, a string of Olmsted parks and splendid architecture, including the nation's largest Victorian preservation district, Louisville is simply a beautiful place to call home.
